Demystifying Leadership — let’s talk about what’s real

Next week, I’m hosting a live webinar and I would love for you to join me.

The topic is one that I’m really passionate about: Demystifying Leadership.

Date: Friday 12th December

Time: 10am AEDT/ 11pm GMT/ 6pm EST

Why this?

Why now?

Because too many capable women are burning out in the gap between their values and how they’re asked to show up as leaders.

That gap turns into resentment, exhaustion, and eventually checking out of a job they once loved.

I’ve lived pieces of this myself in my own journey as a physician and senior executive.

Here’s a sneak peak of some of the topics we will be covering:

  • What leadership is vs. the performance of it. The polished mask that wins approval and the cost it carries.

  • Nice vs. kind. How people-pleasing keeps you safe but small, and why clear is kind (even when it’s uncomfortable).

  • Boundaries as care. Holding the line without losing your humanity or your team’s trust.

  • Leading with love. For who you are and what you are capable of.

We’ll be leaving all of the leadership cliches at the door, I promise.

I’m genuinely excited for this one.

Here's the link to register.

Will I see you there?

Erica

And yet, alongside that gratitude, there's been this persistent sense of incongruence.  Of living...
Your small choices matter
At every fork in the road, we have a choice. What's less obvious is this:  When you don't make a choice, you're still making a choice. Delaying is choosing. Hesitating is deciding. Putting it off until you feel ready is an answer. And every single one of those moments, be it big or small, shapes the path that unfolds next. I think we like to believe that only the major decisions matter. The jo...
Fitting in vs Belonging
I was having a conversation recently about Brené Brown's work on belonging. She makes a powerful distinction that I want to share: Fitting in and belonging are not the same thing. In fact, they're opposites. Fitting in is about assessing a situation and becoming who you need to be to gain acceptance.  Belonging is about showing up as you are and being accepted for that. One requires you to cha...
